Why would a guy stare, but then ignore when you go closer?

Like I was at this coffee shop recently... and I noticed this guy working there kept looking at me... So I looked back at him...
Plus he kept coming back on the 2nd floor (where I was sitting), so everytime he'd come up, my eyes would notice him (i mean there was movement so yeah). also it was the first time i'm seeing someone who works there, be so eager to clean up the 2nd floor lmfao (but thats a different story).

Anyway... he would look at me from afar (steal glances or just painly stare), but when i got close to him to throw something in the bin, he took my garbage and threw it for me... but he did it while turning his back at me and didn't even look at my face O_o... It was really weird...

Was he weirded out by my stare? lol

Looks at you and thinks wow she's pretty
Looks again I wish I had the courage but nah
You catch him and he thinks SHIT
Stare at eachother (I think she's interested)

Then what happens is his heart rate will increase as you walk up to him
He knows he won't do anything about liking you so pretends he doesn't because it's comfortable like that
Hides his face because if he's fair skinned maybe blushing?
by the way I'm just like him. A girl actually approached me after a while of doing this and it was cool.
Just smile at him to at least give him courage even if your shy.

in the 30minutes i was there... we looked at each other at least more than 10 times lol...
so i was surprised when he acted like that... but i see...
tho he didn't even smile... he looked really bothered whenever he came close lmao (he came twice near our table... didn't look at me and acted as if our table was non-existant)... so i thought maybe he just finds me weird or sth.

Some guys don't really know how to act around attractive women so when you approached him he probably got a bit nervous or intimidated. I used to be like that when i was in my teens but then i realised there's absolutely no difference between communicating with an attractive girl and a girl who was considered 'average'.

Oh don't worry, looking back is a good thing, it's fun making eye love to attractive people. Just keep in mind you'll stare down a lot of shy guys who don't look back, especially to pretty girls.

I usually don't bother looking back if they look away and are shy (no time for that sheet). But if the girl is really good looking, I'll tone it down and pretend to be shy to try to coax her out lol 😏. It's almost like playing a game, with the goal of turning her sneaky glances into solid eye contact. - that's what you might have to do.

Once in a while you'll catch an attractive, confident persons eye and fireworks happen.
