Why do some guy friends suddenly ignore you?

I have read this problem a number of times on internet, and go through it myself. Why Do some guy friend start suddenly ignoring their female friend even if they are not dating anyone? Like, it’s weird how many girls go through this single problem on a regular basis. I can understand if a guy gets into a relationship, then he might distant himself, but why do single guys do it?

because most guys dont want female friends. they want girlfriends while many women want male friends. from a womans perspective getting a boyfriend or fbuddy is easy. they aren't looking for a relationship like that so they only want a friend. most women dont make for good friends because they are either bitchy, mean, or just bad company so instead they want a male friend because men usually make better friends (they introduce you to new things, do fun things, have fun, talk about things without holding back etc). so from a womans perspective she couldnt possibly understand why a guy would not want to be just friends.

lets look at this from a guys perspective though. most guys want a girlfriend or an fbuddy and nothing less. most men are generally content with being alone if they are not getting what they want. also for the same reason many women dont want to be friends with woman many guys dont want to be friends with them either. girls that aren't bitchy like a lot of women are dont necessarily make good friends either. because they are usually boring, contribute nothing to conversations, act in a way that you have to treat them special (this is important many women do it without even realizing it), make it so men can't talk about what they want to talk about etc. so simply put it becomes a complete waste of time even speaking with a girl that only wants to be friends and an even bigger waste hanging out with them. so thats why many guys fall off with being just friends with women because the friendship is only beneficial to the woman.

how do girls make bad friends? I do notice some similarities in the things that i don't like about my female friends, but the same is true with my guy friends. They're good in different ways
My guy friends are more boisterous, they make me more inquisitive and try new thing. They're also easier to tlak to about more serious things like politics and all the deep shit.
But my female friends are more compassionate, and easier to talk to about more casual things and personal issues.

@Panay you can talk with your male friends about casual things all the things you listed were casual. also how often do you have personal issues because if its not often then thats a long time to have nothing to talk about. and none of the stuff you listed attributes to having a good time among friends on a regular basis.

Then why do they even become friends in the first place?

it depends on the guy but he couldve thought it was going to lead somewhere but it became apparent that it wouldn't, or because you're always there so why not, or because their gay, or want to get some information or trying to get with your friend etc

Because guys are not looking for female friends, we want gfs and that only, girls aren't that fun as friends either, we ignore girls cause thats the only way to get them interested in us, if being a friend doesn't work... well being an asshole should and it usually does, so to answer your question, they guy is either trying to make you interested in him or he found a girlfriend and you are not a priority anymore... i personally dont have or want female friends, why the heck would i ever want a girl to just talk to when i have lots of guys to do that with? i want to date girls not befriend them.

No you get a new perspective not me, iam not interested in that perspective if i am getting close to girl its because i want her not because iam interested to hear her thoughts and ideas, thats time consuming often a waste of time , i can assure you that as much as 80% of guys if not more want nothing but to have their female friends, i have lots of guy friends and they are like that, they get close as friends hoping it will lead for more and most of the time it doesn't, girls befriend nice guys who dont hurt them and are fun to talk to but date the guys who show interest and act upon it, i had to learn the hard way but i've learnt my lesson, iam not an asshole but iam honest if i want you i want you we can either be together or no more than acquaintances, my only female friend lives thousands of miles away lol , girls are often misleaded and they think guys are like them " oh she's fun i wanna befriend her !!" ... yeah its not quite like that.

now you can argue with for hours or days thats for sure but keep one thing in mind, iam a guy and an honest one too and iam presenting you with the truth, the truth that even if you ask your guy friends they are not going to admit it because it means they are unconfident and think very low of themselves when around you which is not good when dating girls...

Often they are working on a problem and want some alone time to figure it out, he's probably not ignoring you as much as you think.

Well if they are intentionally ignoring you then perhaps you've been to pushing them too hard as in contacting them in a manner like as if you were their girlfriend. I do understand that you are friends with them although many guys have limited attention and can not necessarily sustain a level of contact as a girl would.

It is not so much as an ignore as it is that they lost interest for a variety of reasons. After a while try messaging them back and see if they reply.

But isn't friendship is a thing needed to be maintained? Like, they can have guys who have been friends since 10 or 12 years, but they 'lose interest' in female friends like after 1 or 2 years?

If your really good friends with some one you can go years without seeing them and when you get back together with them. It is just like old times and nothing has changed. a lot of my freinds I have not seen or talked to for at least months simply because I'm to busy and I don't often think about them. I have faith that they are alright and doing well. Like no news is good news kinda thing.

It depends. If you both are used to talking to each other almost every single day, then I think suddenly not talking feels strange.

Yea it does something changed and now communication has slowed or stopped. I had the same thing happen with one of my freinds. I'm still getting used to not needing to check my cell phone constantly.

It doesn't apply that much when you have been friends for some years and he used to make efforts for the friendship.
