Guys, do you invade your crush's personal space?

When my guy friend and I are sitting beside and not talking to each other, he tends to lean over to see what am I doing (ex. homework or playing games on my phone), stares for a little bit, and goes back to what he is doing. If I catch him looking, he backs off quickly and smiles at my reaction (I give him an annoyed look) while looking down.
