Do Virgo men ask women out?

I was reading about Virgo men in dating and relationships and I came across a few themes…
1) they are perfectionists and pretty much no one is ever good for them

2) they never ask a woman out (because they are shy?)

3) they don't like emotions and can be abrupt and kinda mean…

So… I have a crush on this Virgo guy… but I'm a super shy girl myself… so does this mean give up all hope and he'll never ask me out?
Also, I'm emotional and an empath… I care a lot of others' feelings but I also feel crushed if someone hurts me… should I just steer clear in this case? Also, I know I have a lot to offer but by no means am I perfect!

I would love to hear from Virgo men or women who have known them very well…

I thought my sending him a text was VERY VERY VERY forward… figured if he had interest he'd be sure to reply seeing that he doesn't seem shy about teasing me or try to make something out of the text. I've known him about a year but I don't get to work with him often… I've seen him to be kind, helpful and friendly towards most people but I do notice that he's content being on his own… with me he can be stand offish at times, playful at times including teasing me, sarcastic at times if I give too much lip, just nice at times, kind and helpful at times… there are also times he ignores me… and we kinda react to each other in that way for small periods before we chill and just relax. (atleast me when I get ignored then I ignore and then I realise I shouldn't change me and then we're back to normal) but in all of this we never get the opportunity to really get past the basics… but he seems more open than to me with others say maybe older people etc… he's also friendly with girls our age that always work with him but I don't know if he is into any of them…
I texted him casually thinking it might trigger him to engage with me but he didn't really pursue it in my opinion…

Wholly crap that 100% thing is hard to convey when I'm myself super shy… although I cover my shyness with attitude… if I'm embarrassed or flustered or nervous I get snappy 😳😳. I'm no where close to being drop dead gorgeous model type but I get complimented by at least 90% of people I work with… I tend to befriend girls that I think are gorgeous and they tell me they envy me (in a loving way - but it could be out of love who knows)… I don't workout much so I'm not strong but I'm petite, slim and toned… maybe why he sometimes helps me when he sees me struggling with something…but he doesn't jump to help me…he'll wait to see me struggle a few seconds before that… I don't like germs but I'm quite messy 😳 (is that a deal breaker?)… I do my work but if it's cleaning VS spending a day in the sun I prefer the later… and I pay my own bills-always have
