Guy rejected me harshly but seems like he wants my attention?

I confessed to a guy 9 months ago that i thought he was cute and i'm interested in getting to know him. He basically rejected me and said he doesn't want to talk to me or get to know me. He would constantly roll his eyes around my presence and acted like a major douche. I obviously got over him and i always ignore him and treat him like any other person. 2 days ago he was walking in front of me with his friends and stopped in the middle of the hallway and took his sweatshirt off right there and told his friends he'll catch up and he knew it was only me and my two friends behind him. I ignored it and he was walking behind me for a good minute and then ran up to his friends, hit their backpacks hard and said "hey guys" loudly and then turned his head towards me for a minute i guess to see my reaction and to act all macho and tough. He also occasionally glances now. What does this mean? He never did this before

And his action of being weird and confusing in the hallway confirmed to him that you still do. Don't worry about his confusing actions, you've moved on beyond him, remember that ( assuming you truly have, but doubtful lol), and if he wants to talk to you, he can talk to you and not go for your attention through random loud attention seeking actions.

That's so dumb tho, it's not like i stare at him or even look his way. I usually just see him looking in the corner of my eye. Even after he did all that my friends and i literally turned the other corner and we started to laugh at how stupid he made himself look. He needs to seriously get over himself

he is trying to show off. he thinks you want him, and is bragging about it to his friends. he has probably told everyone you like him, and they joke about it behind your back. he is being a jerk, and it is his way of displaying dominance.
