What does it mean when he says he wants me as his "companion?"?

What the heck does that mean? We've been dating for about 6 months and he refers to me as his girlfriend. He says he's not really good with "relationships," but he wants me. So, I asked... "What do you want from me?" He responded with "A companion... our conversations, the fun we have together, trust, happiness..."

Guys... Is this a good thing? Or bad thing?

by far a good thing. a partner is good, a companion is all that while being close friends. partners are people who work together, companions are the close friends you share everything with. so yeah, it's hella good

If he wants a companion it means it's serious. A companion is a buzzword for a close friend and is used to by people who describe their SO in a serious relationship. He probably thinks of you as a friend, girlfriend, and a lover.

Companion is a person with whom one spends a lot of time and feel emotional connection, bonding and like their company so I feel it is good. :)
