Are guys truly attracted to brainless bimbos?

so me and my best friend are polar opposites. The main thing is our brains though. I'm quite intelligent and she...not so much. But all the guys like her and I do not understand why. She's the same age as me, but a year and a half behind in schooling because she failed so many classes. Guys don't like me and people say it's because guys don't like girls who threaten them smarts wise. They say guys are intimidated and prefer girls who don't know much, but I don't understand why. Wouldn't it be better to have a smart girl who could actually hold a conversation with you?

I think a lot of guys look for a girl who has the a personality that makes them feel comfortable. They like happy girls, and honestly, a lot of times girls who are not as smart are just content to "be" there for the guy. I've seen a lot of guys marry and happily be with girls who are clearly not as smart as they are, possibly because a lot of guys feel it boosts their ego to be the "smart one" in the relationship.

But not all guys are like this, and there are a lot of quality guys who admire and appreciate a woman with brains. Once you get older and start meeting more academic types like grad students, they will be attracted to your intelligence.

I think guys who choose bimbos have very little respect for women, and only see them as having value as sexual objects, not as people. I've seen proof of this as there have been several situations I've seen where there are equally physically attractive women, some smart others not so much. Who do 90% of the guys go for? You guessed it, the dumb ones!

I enjoy intellectual stimulation, but girls are just as likely to get threatened by a smart person as guys are. In my experience, girls who consider themselves smart are incredibly cynical, and have unrealistic expectations. This combination makes them want a guy who's perfect and trustworthy, but they're unwilling to ever presume guys are anything other than lying bastards, or total losers, or some other bad stereotype.

So no, it's not that guys are attracted to bimbos. It's that as intelligence goes up in women, they become less and less likely to give you a chance.

Im intimidated by women who are extremely smart and try to show off their intelligence to me in order to make me feel dumb, or make them feel better than me, or both. At the same time I don't like women who have no common sense.

Once you get to college or Uni, the more intelligent girls are more attractive. I don't like a women whos serious all the time, but I love being able to have intelligent conversations with them from time to time, or even just know that they have some common sense

Yes, people have told me how they like girls who aren't very smart, and I was just wondering if I just live in a horrible area or if most guys think this way also.

My godness no. Nothing more boring than being with a girl whose only quality if having a beautiful face but is brainless and doesn't even know basic history.
I've walked away from a girl like that. That would be the worst date to me. Smart girls I like and if she has a higher intellectual than me cool.
My guess is those guys that want dumb girls are either losers themselves or only looking for casual sex. I'm a relationship minded man.
