Why do some guy's stalk girls social media?

I have noticed this before even from guys who apparently didn't have a thing for me, would slip up and mention something from my social media in conversation some have even admitted it and half the time I've not even added or followed them

I think everyone (Girls and guys) does it a bit. Different reasons all add into it. Some people just don't have anything better to do while others are curious. And some secretly do have a crush and perhaps want to see more about the person before they make a move. Like, does he/she have a significant other, or is this person fun to be around, do I have anything in common? Stuff like that. But I think that most of it is innocent in nature. Very few people out there actually do it in a creepy way of intending harm or some sort of manipulation. But still better safe than sorry in this crazy modern world.

Social media stalking is a way for both men and women to find out about the other person without having to talk to the other person. Many people do it for different reasons.

Sometimes it's to be creepy, sometimes it's to make sure someone is single. Sometimes it's to see their hobbies and lifestyle choices to see if it fits with you: such as is that guy a fuckboy or not.

The people who slip up and mention about something you've never brought up before in person are pretty silly if they want to be lowkey about it.

There's three possible reasons.

1. He's interested in you as a character and knows this will help him get closer to you as he knows your interests

2. He is an absolute creep that wants to create a duplicate of you

3. He is really bored, has no interest in you but doesn't have much going in his life.

HAHAHA My friend once admitted he added me on Facebook initially JUST to stalk me 😂 kinda to see if i was available, where i come from, any pictures that would reveal something quirky about me. Etc
