Guys, Dumpee unblocking and sending dumper a friend request 4 years after he blocked her?

Has anyone ever sent a friend request to an ex who dumped you a few years ago, even though you're now in a relationship? Let's say you were dumped and you blocked the ex on FB, and the dumper later wanted to work it out, but you said no. After that, the dumper goes full no contact, ignoring all contact from the dumpee for over a year. So, why would the dumpee unblock the dumper and sent a friend request after being ignored by the dumper?

Things change and people mature over time. Maybe the dumpee has gotten past all the negativity and just wants to have contact as friends again?

I'm FB friends with one ex and would be willing to be with others. My girlfriend is FB friends with at least 3 exes I think. It is possible in time to put breakups in the past and be friends or at least acquaintances with exes.

I'm sure its possible. I was just a bit lost because he said he didn't want to be friends like years ago, now out of the blue I get a friend request.

I've had a couple of breakups where I was pretty upset with my ex for a period of time after the breakup but in time those feelings lessened. If any of my exes sent me a friend request now, I would accept it.

Are you thinking you'll accept it or ignore it?

Even if the ex ignored all of your contact for like 2 years, you would still unblock her and send her a friend request? I probably wouldn't send a friend request to someone who ignored me, nor be the only one initiating contact throughout that time, even if I was over them...

I wouldn't keep contacting her repeatedly if she didn't respond but I wouldn't be afraid to be the one to reach out to try to re-establish communication after we hadn't been in contact for a while

Ok, but what would be your motivation be for re-establishing contact with an ex who had been ignoring you?
