So me and my guy friend that I like a lot were watching this sad music video. It's basically about a son who pays respect to his father that passed away. We've watched this particular vid together a couple times before, and he asked if I knew the hidden meanings behind what the son was doing (lighting a cigarette, putting on his tie, etc), and I had him explain it. I asked him out of curiosity if he was close with his father, and he said something about how he barely says 10 words to him per day, but it's really about loving through actions. Further into the video, I look at my friend's face and I was a bit surprised to see his eyes get watery, and he shed a couple of tears, which he quickly wiped away. I didn't expect him to start crying when watching that music video so I gave him a hug, and then gave him a second one and leaned on his shoulder for a couple seconds. Then a couple minutes later he's back to normal again, joking around with his friends and making me laugh with his dance moves haha.
I'm not looking down on him or thinking that he's less of a man for crying or anything. Since I've known him he would tell me that sometimes he cries a little bit when watching these sad music videos at home, and he has never shed a single tear while watching them with me until today. I think I may have triggered something inside him and I feel kinda bad now :/
