Do guys hug petite girls lightly because they don't want to accidentally squish them?

Not saying who. Anyways, I just thought back to the times he hugged me. They were always light hugs. His kisses were soft. Just everything about the way he was around me was way more gentle. And he'd always point out the fact that I was so tiny and tease me for it. I don't know what to make of it because girls usually talk about how a guy hugs them tightly. When he had his arm around my waist or held my hand, it was tight though.

For me the kind of hug depends on the relationship I have with the person. A "normal" friend? That's a quick, light hug. My best friend? Well she gets a tighter hug. It just shows a different kind or strength in affection for me. However, I think that completely depends on the person.

I think it's dependent upon the situation, and the person.
Certain situations will call for more "gentle/caring" hugs, and others more for passionate/more aggressive hugs.

Guys are just going to be one or the other, well I guess they can do both just depends and varies.

I do vary the tightness of the hug to the size of the person. If they are small, it's a little lighter hug. If the girl is strong and athletic, the hug is probably slightly harder.

Honestly, me and him don't talk anymore, and I haven't met someone who's my type yet :) The guy that hugged me was basically my first everything (first date, first kiss,). But I have a feeling there's still something between us.
