Guys, Cuddle Bug, Cuddle Bug, Do You Like To Cuddle Or Be Cuddled?

I have recently gotten into a relationship with a cuddle bug, & I must say that I enjoy the feeling of their arms wrapped around me, but I don't always want to be the cuddlee. I want my boyfriend to feel the same love & affection I feel when he holds me, so the other night we had a test of wills, that he absolutely let me win, & I finally got to cuddle him.
He fell asleep with his head on my chest & his arm wrapped securely over my waist in a tighter embrace that he does when we fall asleep and he's the "big spoon". He woke up the next morning and told me he had never been the recipient and that he wouldn't mind if it became a regular twist to our cuddle time. I tried to do it again recently and he wrapped one arm around me, pinning my arms while using his free hand to guide my head to his chest before kissing and nuzzling my crown, then laying down, & pulling me with him.
Now I'm wondering what could possibly've changed, or maybe he just likes being in that cuddler role, but either way we both enjoy the intimacy that accompanies cuddling.
So guys, what are your opinions on cuddling? What do you prefer? Do you like when your partner holds you or do you prefer doing the holding?

I prefer to change it up about half the time. Especially when going to sleep I'd like the girl to have her arms and legs around/on me.
