Just tell him you're busy with work or busy in general and try to break up the texting, too much attention is bad for a relationship people need there own space, he should get the picture and talk when you both want to, if not pull the plug.
In one side it's too much, but in the other side it means that he really cares (and it's something you may not found in another relationship). I think you gotta talk with him explaining your point of view and make your decision regarding his answer or behavior after that
He's really into you. Just tell him directly he's being a bit too aggressive and needs take it a bit more easy.
