Shy introvert guy has a crush on me, what should I do?

Long story short, I'm a shy introvert girl. Last year I had multiple long eye contacts across the room with an introvert guy. He kept stealing glances at me while also avoiding me. I did try to speak to him once, but he was too nervous to keep a conversation. Eventually, I texted him that I like him but nothing changed. He just kept on staring at me (sometimes with his friends) and avoiding proximity. He would always smile back at me, get jealous when I talk with other guys, try to get my attention by being super loud and stare.

School is now over and I tried to get in touch with him through fb. He is not into texting (he told me so) and never intiated a convo. His answers are short, polite and he sometimes keeps the convo going.

Should I give up? Will he eventually initiate a text? It seems like he's not making any effort despite giving me signs that he likes me...

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like it's going to work out. He may have some feelings for you, but he's clearly too shy to do anything - even text - so he's just not ready for any kind of relationship.

You did everything right, which I'm sure wasn't easy for you. It sucks that it didn't work out with this guy, but if you do that with an average guy (he doesn't have to be super extroverted), I suspect you'll be much more successful.

He's unsure what to do with his attraction. You can call him and ask him directly, tell him it's clear you like him and he likes you, and you both aren't staying young forever. So ask him, "what do you want?".

Don't let any answer disappoint you. He may still not be ready for this thing. The important thing is, don't waste your time. Years run off quickly.

Well I know an app where u guys can watch Netflix together while talking in like a gc system, it will only be u 2 tho it's called netflix party and it's a chrome extension and it's really easy to use!! You can just text him and see If he's down to do it, best part is it's easy and not as awkward as meeting and actually watching netflix together, especially with the virus around

Yeah I know what you mean. there's not a lot of places I can think of, but maybe a park or something like that. He might not be very talkative but I would say it's better than an awkward silence over dinner.

At this point, I think I will wait for him to make a move. I have already been initiating all texts and even added him on FB. I think I have been pretty obvious about my interest and given him the tools to contact me if he ever wants to...

I wouldn't count on it... From experience having made all those moves does not necessarily give him the certainty of your intentions... If he's that shy/introverted, it will come down to wether or not you will take the initiative... in case you're wrong, and he's not interested, you will know...

Not taking initiative, being short with texting etc is due to insecurity, being uncomfortable or annoyed by you coming on to him would be easier to respond to if he wasn't interested... He could just say no...

Well due to COVID 19 there is no way for us to meet right now. But even then, I wouldn't mind texting for a while and then ask him out. It's just that he never initiates a text. I'm just not sure that he's into me as much as I'm into him...
