I used to work for a company where my supervisor at first seemed as though he hated me. My colleagues used to feel sorry at how he used to neglect bringing me up to speed on things and stare at me oddly. He was quite the anti social person and at times after work I would see him on the public transit travelling home and he would ignore me. One day while I waited for the bus a car pulls up and its him offering to drive me closer to home to beat the traffic. He didn’t ask anyone else. We briefly chatted... he was rather bland at the conversation. He made a point of letting me know privately when he had his car and could drive me home. He made himself available when I was doing outreach to pick me up with his car as well.
Coworkers suspected he liked me because they saw a difference in how he was with me versus them. One night 2 hours after closing i got requests from him for my social media. No other work staff were on his accounts. I tried to message him privately but he never responded. When I left that location to work on a project elsewhere I tried to email work related... he would respond friendly. He even told me they need relief staff and arranged for me to come and help. And though id been gone for months he still opted to drive me home.
He later got a managers position elsewhere and that’s where he changed. I had to delete and recreate my social media due to toxic people and when I told him to readd my new account he didn’t. His email replies werent rolling in as thry used to. For Christmas I sent him a card w/ my number on it... but he never called/texted m. He showed up at my new location once and acted as if he didn’t know me infront of the staff but when they were out of sight he walked up to me and smiled and chatted to me like we used to. I bumped into him in transit and he was smiling and happy to see me. what gives?
