He usually text me and replied pretty fast. But lately he doesn’t. FYI I did initiate and ask qns to maintain the conversation too. Suddenly one day he doesn’t seems to reply as quick as before. I told him I’m going through some tough situation and he consoled me etc. and suddenly we didn’t text for a few days. After a few days he texted me if how’s everything which I replied it’s alright (but I’m not) just didn’t want him be affected by my mood etc. I asked hbu which he took almost a day to text me back but didn’t answer my qns. (He did update on his IG story though) so I asked if I did something that annoyed him or something which he replied no. Coz he was not okay and shutting off from people and will talk to me when he’s better if I still want to talk to him. I told him he can share with me anytime if he wants and will wait once he’s okay to talk. Which he didn’t read but I just saw he update his IG story again. Anyone please advise. I’m really confused. And my situation isn’t helping too... did I do something wrong or?

It sounds to me like he's depressed and going through something personal right now by what he told you. Absolutely nothing at all to do with you personally. You have to "detach" from it a little bit and keep telling yourself this. It's HIM, not YOU. But I know how you feel. But you don't know each other well enough that he feels he can talk to you (or most likely just doesn't want to, with anyone no matter who you are), so he just needs time I think to "get over it". Maybe he's run out of things to say also? I started dating someone, we've met once, however I'm finding it extremely hard to maintain or even start any conversation by text (and apparently she is also lol). The interest is there, I just have no idea what to say. But my advice, just leave him be, let him come to you, but at the same time, don't let too much time go by. Every couple days if you haven't heard from him, say "Hi, how's it going?" and let him know you're still there and thinking about him. And hopefully before long he'll be back to "normal".

He lost interest and his interest is elsewhere. He possibly only wants to be friends now and keep you as a back up plan. When guys are interested they show they're interested. No excuses, no stories etc. He had the time to check you story but didn't have the time to text you? That's odd don't you think?
