Will I ever find a mate to love that loves me back?

I'm 43 with no children. I spent my younger years caring for my mother. I do have two master's and I quit a doctorate program. I live alone in my home.

I'm currently overweight. I weight 220lbs. I'm trying to work on my health and will be getting Bariatric surgery.

I'm middle income and have a shitload of student debt.

My most recent situation is dealing with a narcissist guy. Basically it's just for sex.

Is there any hope for me? Will any man of quality and not just a narcissist want me. What can I do to improve my chances?

I feel hopeless. Fat. Washed up.

There are MANY determining factors that conclude a person's destiny. 1. Are you meant to marry eventually in life, 2. Your self-esteem, 3. How you keep yourself & 4. Your attitude and more.
But what REALLY determines it is number one. Some people are meant to date, fall in love and get married. The big guy upstairs didn't plan for EVERYONE to have this outcome. There are different destinies for everyone out there. For some it is marriage, for others it may be Religious life, and others... they are just meant to be single. Stop thinking about if you are destined for a keeper. Live your life daily and do what you always do. In the meantime, just move on with life and whatever happens in the end happens.

I don't think you are fat or washed up. I think what matters is that you want to change and you want to create a better life for yourself. Once you have started that there is no telling where you might go and what might happen. I won't not give up hope. I would keep working and keep opening up new doors for yourself. Keep a positive attitude and everything will be okay.

Well the first thing you need to do is find your best self and radiate your best self to the world. Lose the weight that you want to lose, get your money in order and leave the old hurt behind. All that stuff can inhibit you from getting a lovely partner especially when it seems like you radiate a lot of negativity.
