I firmly believe that we all have the right to wear whatever we want subject to local laws to express our individuality. However, men should avoid wearing accessories which are too delicate or can get in the way of doing things. I am by no means the authority on manliness however, it's my belief that men should wear necklaces only for certain purposes.
1. Religious affiliation - certain Hindu sects wear a thin red or black thread around their necks.
2. Dog tags or other ID - I know many army guys and even they dont wear, they carry their IDs in their pockets.
3. utilitarian - security keys, physical keys, or sensitive pendrives.04 Reply- +1 y

Like accessorizing is a form of art to some people and make them feel good, if it dont harm anybody and Hey! go ahead and do it
- +1 y
@coolguyaesthetic - As I said I fully support anyone's right to wear anything as long as they are confirming to local laws, but what I said was my personal opinion.

Would I wear it at the firehouse, probably not, wouldn't want to get people ice on it, or wreck it, but going out and about I could work it into my rotation.10 Reply

I do have a nice gold and amethyst ring34 Reply- +1 y
I am seriously so jealous of that ring, I don't normally like jewellery but damn <3
- +1 y
It came my way purely by chance I was going to scrap it them have the stone put in a pendant for my mother but it fit so I've got it... I know the line goes it was bought new in the 1930's given as a 21st birthday gift to its first owner who always wore it and must have had it reshanked given the difference in gold colours and left it to my client when she died in her 90's then I bought it from the client who believed it was costume... I've turned down profitable offers to buy it because I can't be bothered looking for a gold ring to replace it at least for now
- +1 y
Thats kinda wild someone though it was costume, did you get it cheaper because of that or did you pay a normal price for it?
But yeah I'd probably just hold onto it if I was you, it looks really nice and even if you weren't for wearing it yourself it seems like someone that would be useful holding onto - +1 y
Think it's the size of the stone as that must be 15-20cts, I paid a fair price for the gold because that was why I was buying, I'll probably hold on to it then maybe sell it but probably for enough to buy a great replacement if some offered or go down the pendant route

Though it does seem traditionally feminine to wear pearls, I don't see any problem at all for men to wear them. I like rocks, gems, crystals and the like so naturally I would be for that I think.
22 Reply- +1 y
And in plenty Polynesian cultures you'll probably notice men wearing shell necklaces. Really, I don't see why pearls should be any different.
- +1 y
Agreed.
- +1 y
I accidentally push no but really I could careless what somebody else’s taste in jewelry is. For me pearls aren’t my thing and to be honest I don’t wear any jewelry not even my wedding ring. When I was young I wore some spiky rings only because when I got into a fight I’d bloody them all up pretty good but stopped wearing them at about 18 or 19
00 Reply Men should stop being afraid of colors, unusual combinations and accessories. Being manly doesn't mean you have to be boring.

If we're being honest, aren't pearls really just high priced beads?

lol i don't give a damn. but if it's someone i know, i will make fun of them for wearing their grandmas jewelery.

What if the pearls were found hidden in your grandpa's sock drawer? And what if you found old polaroid photos of grandad posing in the mirror while wearing his pearls?
- +1 y
well nothing, cause my grandpa is dead. but if he was still alive, i'd made fun of him in the same way.
- +1 y
But what if grandpa bought you a little string of pearls of your own and it became a bonding experience?
- +1 y
well my granddad is not as ignorant about peoples feelings about things as you seem to be, so he wouldn't try that :P
- +1 y
I feel you have suppressed your true feelings. Usually people like you, those who come on here and act like a keyboard tough guy, are actually fighting the urge to wear pearls and frilly things. :) Gramps knew who you were that entire time you were growing up. He was just shy about opening up to you. Your grandfather was a very sensitive man. A great guy.
- +1 y
you need to learn to respect other peoples feelings and not try to force on them how you think they should feel.
- +1 y
You need to stop scolding me over obvious, lighthearted fun. You come off as a wacko by taking everything so seriously. OK, friend? :)

That’s more like for the olden days back in the 1600’s. And only woman wear them to be fancy. Men? Now I find that a little odd.
00 Reply 374 opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. I'll never understand the point of fancy jewelry on anyone.

Not only should it be illegal but it should be classified as a Class 1 Felony so that a life sentence can still be an option.

05 Reply- +1 y
Do you think Joc Pederson is feminine?
- Opinion Owner+1 y
as of now? yes. that's something my grandmother would have worn tbh. Not being disrespectful about it, just saying. I mean trans females play sports too. doesn't mean they aren't still feminine though. If he's willing to wear pearls i wouldn't put it past him to wear eyeliner and lip gloss either tbh
- +1 y
Do you think Mr. Pederson has his genitalia in one of those little cages so he can't top anyone? Do you feel he is only comfortable being a submissive bottom?
- Opinion Owner+1 y
I don't know him but it I saw him in the he street I'd be thinking this guy is a backdoor boy
- +1 y
What do you imagine Joc using for lube?

I wouldn't go for solid pearl beads, like pearl beads every other bead with hematite or obsidian in between

Is he gay? No straight guy would unironically call himself a, "bad bitch."
07 Reply- +1 y
So straight guys are good bitches? I don't know man that sounds even more "gay."
- +1 y
Okay, so if you're going with that, the word bitch must have some gay reputation or undertone, right? But as far as I've heard it's just another name for a woman.
- New +1 y
Technically a bitch is a female dog. Regardless, a straight guy would absolutely call himself a bad bitch either in jest or in relation to his preference in the bedroom, being a straight sub. There's multiple reasons why this would happen, so generalization is not a good choice, as is with anything that isn't entirely factual.
- New +1 y
@Smittyman So female dog so there's the feminine aspect, and a derogatory aspect. Is there also a sexual aspect to the word so that it is only used in sexual contexts (sexual preference/orientation)? Where did that part come from out of "female dog"?
- New +1 y
@Smittyman That, doesn't really make it sexual by itself. Most things have sex. That isn't their primary quality though. A bitch is a bitch because it's a female dog not because of what sex position it has, that's not very central to the definition. I just don't see why when using bitch to refer to a human It always implies sexual position as well.

10 Reply- +1 y
I don't see how it is of any relevance
03 Reply- +1 y
So you wear pearls?
- +1 y
No. I don't see the relevance. They seem nice (on any gender), but when you think about it, it is stupid to wear any jewelry since it invites (communist) envy - to get robbed (and perhaps murdered in the process)
- +1 y
Communist envy?
- +1 y
Uh I'm not into that.. sorry!
213 Reply- +1 y
I think you will be soon.
- +1 y
Not really. People have different preferences, I will not change my preference for anyone :)
- +1 y
I think it looks silly.
- +1 y
People's tastes evolve. There is a very good chance that eventually you will like pearls on men. And I predict it will be sooner rather than later. :)
- +1 y
Ahh, lol, you seriously downvoted my comment?
People can be whomever they want, and wear whatever they want, I just would not date a man who wears makeup or wears pearl necklaces. End of story. - +1 y
Today you wouldn't. But maybe a year from now you will.
- +1 y
My dad taught me to be as open minded as possible and I do not judge people, I'm sorry to have said that it looks silly, but that is just my opinion. If he feels confident wearing pearls then he can, but I would not date a man who is going to fight with me on jewellery.
- +1 y
I highly doubt that.
- +1 y
You cannot force a person to change their preference just because you do not like it. Baseball players can do whatever they want, I do not care, but I would not like my boyfriend wearing pearls
- +1 y
What if your boyfriend wore the pearls around his turgid penis instead of his neck?
- +1 y
Lmfao, don't have a boyfriend and that's insanely weird
- +1 y
I predict that when u get a boyfriend, you will unzip his pants and pull them down to find a beautiful string of pearls delicately hanging from his engorged manhood.

I hope not!
