Don't dip out right away, but this is gonna come off as "it's the goddamn feminists" at first.

The last decade has seen politics and media take up the image of female empowerment and prioritize it above most other things. Consequentially, people who instead moderate "girl power" with other ideologies tend to lose their platform or fall out of the spotlight. It's a troubling position, because anyone who might want to discuss the hyperbolic nature of this movement today could find themselves on a slippery slope to being cancelled. Align your question with that extreme environment, and we start to see the issue unfold.

The most-publicized message for absolute goodness in the western world today touts women as heroic and infallible. The evidence for that claim is... because they're women.

We've now seen too much of a good thing. Encouraging women that they can live how they want to is right and just. Everyone one of us is deserved autonomy and we should be proud of our society for accomplishing that. Today, though, folks are not trying to stop the pendulum. They are pushing it ever farther the other direction. We've blown past the idea that individual men have gotten away with doing bad things and we're now accosting all men with a reputation as predators and abusers. It's a bit unsettling how unwilling we are to now offer the benefit of doubt to our men and boys. It seems greater numbers of people are willing to just believe men are bad, and the way to fix them is to stop them from being men.

You're not wrong. Feminizing boys and men is honestly the objective. We're only getting to this point because whenever a man tries to fight back, he's beaten down as being part of the patriarchy. This preference for women is having dyer affects on our youth. Grade school education disproportionately favors girls. Boys get worse grades, are more likely to be reprimanded, and are disciplined more severely for competitive character traits which are quickly being phased out. Rather than having winners and losers determined by their efforts, educators are striving to equalize everyone's abilities by disarming the value of, or completely eliminating, victory. Place that approach into a world which already treats boys as defective. Now our children understand that "girls are better than boys" and boys don't even have the opportunity to prove otherwise.

One might think people grow out of this, but men are falling farther and farther behind women in higher ed. You might be surprised, given that we see new campaigns to promote women into STEM fields and management positions, but women are surging past their male colleagues. Men are failing in droves, but there's no acceptable movement, or serious concern present to help them. The world's too focused on girl power to worry about men.

What you might not see is the secondary features. Yes many boys and men are starting to transition into women in appearance and behavior, but I'd wager they are the minority being catapulted into the stars. For the most part, you might find men who don't want to become women retreating into other lifestyles which you can't see. Whether they live only for themselves, live online in chatrooms or as gamers, or get sucked into forums and ideologies which might be harmful, the result is they aren't present for you to view or experience. Culture, education, and politics in the west have told masculine men to change or go away.

We're not all changing, we just don't see a world which wants or welcomes us.

God said he alone is to be worshiped, Satan instead wants himself to be God and to be worshiped. God says homosexuality is and abomination, but Satan has been working overtime to influence more people to be gay and to create a culture which embraces homosexuality. God said transvestitism, transsexuality, abortion, fornication, the elimination of sovereign nations and a one world government, and euthanasia are all sins and the exact opposite of what God commanded, yet we see these things zealously promoted in our culture today, particularly from people who are left wing politically.

What we see with men today is just another thing in a long list of items that is exactly the opposite of what God commanded or how he created things to work that is embraced by our culture.

Just another set of things Satan is promoting that is exactly opposite of what God decrees.

How is this done? By the continual bashing of masculine traits. By creating a society that is gynocentric. By demeaning men in movies and TV shows and commercials as helpless dopes who can’t figure out how to put their own socks on without women having to tell them how. We bash men as perverts for men having a higher sex drive in most cases than women and for men seeming to place higher value on sex than women. We insert female influence into everything. Anything that’s masculine in nature we try to inject femininity into. In short we empower women to the max and weaken and disempower men to the max. We eliminate traditional gender roles. All of this is just more schemes of Satan to promote the opposite of what God commands.

I think it's part of a corporate agenda.

If men become like women, and women become like men... two incomes are required to sustain a household, and childcare must be outsourced to someone you pay.

What does that mean? More energy devoted to corporate interests and less to your immediate family.

If men are expected to look like women, again, corporate interests win. Men waxing, tanning, getting their eyebrows shaped... that's all money to corporations which never used to go there.

Also, the more effeminate men get, the more easily they are dominated by corporations. The less testosterone they have, the less likely they are to say "fuck you" to a crappy boss, and go start their own business or build a farm offgrid.

Testosterone levels in the average 20 year old man are close to the testosterone levels of a 60 year old man in the 70s. The rates are plummeting. It's scary.

It also feeds on itself. Once a man becomes feminized and less 'red blooded', he's less in touch with his 'hunter/predator' aspects... he then buys into things like the vegan agenda... so he starts eating soy burgers and soy milk, which are full of phyto-estrogens which make him even more effete.

The more effete he becomes, the more he shirks his responsibilities at home, and women feel like they need to shoulder the masculine responsibilities. This makes women exhausted and angry. Domestic bickering and unease is the result, and sexual connections diminish. Less sex also equals less testosterone.

Men in the past would have been driven to find a way to solve their problems in order to get sex (because their sex drive was typically higher)... but now they can just wank off to porn so they don't bother.

It's a lot of factors. But corporations win out of all of this.

Short answer? Because women want that.

Basically, as with anything subject to a competitive pressure the group will conform to the expectations they are held to. Since men to a large degree want to present themselves in a pleasant way to women be it in a romantic pursuit or just for social interaction they constantly pursue what women want in them. Of course this is oversimplified since reality is a lot more muddy but it still holds true at the end of the day.

Women have moved away from wanting the "masculinity/powerful" man as you call it so the pressure on men instead become to use skincare, pluck their eyebrows etc.. In perhaps a few decades the fashion will have moved on and men will be expected to look differently so who knows what happens then. Its just how things are and have always been.

It's the fattening of or society, most men don't do any physical labor anymore, plus within the popular culture, most masculine traits have been categorized as toxic. Now, while I'll admit that it's certainly socially acceptable for a guy to be more 'effeminate' in the way that you're describing (which, to me, is 'whatever')... I'm gonna push back on how much this phenomenon is ACTUALLY a thing that's happening, in the offline world.

I work with nearly exclusively guys. They have different jobs of different kinds. Some more blue-collar, some more white-collar. I must work with upwards of 50 guys. I can't think of any who are like you're describing. I also cannot think of any of the dude's I've known for years who seem to have gotten MORE effeminate as the years have gone by (and this phenomenon has supposedly grown in mainstream popularity).

Some guys have always been like this. And I really don't have strong feelings about that one-way or another. Some places might have a higher-than-average concentration of guys who pluck their eyebrows. But unless you're talking about a dance studio, fashion industry or something like that... If you see too many men of certain types around, try looking in certain environments.
If you look into historical reenactment groups or larp, you may find bearded men who look into history for their ideals of strength, honor and courage.

Jus yesterday I saw a post about "toxic masculinity" from a girl basically saying we should be more girly and show our emotions and cry more... Now you're wondering why men are feminine?

Because there's not much else for men to build or do manually when technology is already doing our thing. Also lets not forget how heavy men's make up were during the 1700s and they wear powdered wigs and dresses too so if you want strong and powerful men back then, do you prefer them over men today?

Because some guys know that girls pick them apart based on their looks the same way they do other women if not worse. A guy can do all of the things you said and still be inherently masculine (be assertive/dominant/not act like a little bitch/play sports/workout/etc.).

I actually really like those type of men. I like a man who takes care of themselves. Also being vulnerable with your partner doesn’t take away your masculinity. Just so you guys know that so it’s okay to show emotion or even cry in-front of your partner I think that would bring us closer instead of just being stone cold and acting like you’re al hard.

Now men need to be sensitive, to women's needs, no more working in factories or steel mills. Just sitting behind a desk making the deals.
They use liquid soap and apply it with a scrubby thing. They drink spritzers and wine. Eat tofu, not stakes and potatoes. have pedicures and manicures. No longer change their cars oil, or repair it.

I don't do none of that. All I do is shave the unibrow and my face. Comb my hair but don't really care most of the day. Simple deodorant and a splash of after shave
