Okay. So this is a long story made very short.
A married man (who is also my boss) finally, after months of ghosting me, admitted that he felt "very intense emotions" toward me and that the only way he could think to control it was to completely stop contact. We had a very touchy interaction 6 months ago on a mini road trip we took together (kissing everywhere but lips, no sex but fondling) and he said he hasn't been able to process that.

Well this past weekend during this whole confession (which I initiated because I needed answers), we were at work and he pulled me into this tiny storage closet to talk. Everyone could see we were talking in that tiny storage closet for an hour. He said he didn't give a fuck what they thought. Clearly it looked too personal, and I thought this whole thing was a secret. They all know he is married. So... what the fuck is he doing? What is he wanting? Does anyone have any insights?

In my opinion, he's a fucking idiot that has no self control. A married man has no business courting another woman. If he isn't happy, then he needs to do the right thing and divorce or formally separate from his wife before he pursues another woman.

He is torn between you and the risks of cheating on his wife.

If he gets caught, she could potentially take half of everything he owns. If she decides not to leave, he has to choose between you or her and his house and income.

Sounds like you're the irresistible office flirt. He actually doesn't want to cheat, not because of what others might think, but just because it doesn't feel right or will ruin him emotionally. So, he's doing the right thing and letting you know, while obviously still being conflicted.

Not surprising that he's acting a bit strange, since a lot of feelings are on the line here.
