If a guy goes out of his way to help you, then is he interested or just nice?

Long story short, I met this guy in one of my classes, and whenever I need help with something, he always goes out of his way to help. For instance, I asked him about an assignment we had, and he sent me a very long text explaining it, and giving me tips, etc. then he told me he was happy to help me and to feel free to text him if I have anymore questions (with lots of smiley faces).

He may well be interested. Are you? Invite him to lunch or something. Pay for it, tell him it's a small thanks for his help. That will give you a chance to talk to each other.

You have to believe that no one in this world will do things without a purpose. I believe he must be interested in you. If you also feel this way, you should get to know each other.
