Does he really care about me or is he full of bullshit?

So I have been with my boyfriend for a year and 5 months. Are relationship has been anything but perfect. We both did bad things but are trying to move past them. He basically broke my heart and lost all my trust. But I’m still with him because I do really love and care about him.
Noe over the time I’m realizing things that he does that maybe a guy should be doing in a relationship. For example say happy new year or New Year’s Eve (we didn’t celebrate together) or say happy birthday on your birthday. I’m sick right now and it didn’t even bother ask how I am. Also other things that he says without any consideration of my feelings. Now he isn’t the best English speaker so I may sometimes misinterpreted it but I don’t know.
If a man really cares about you he should do these small things right. Or is it just because he is a man and like most men completely clueless to what women want. He claims he cares and loves me so much but I think other wise. I do see him trying but i don’t know.

OK, "in the beginning of our relationship". Let's focus upon those first three words. Which COULD mean that ultimately he chose you over them, and he was initially playing the field? Just saying. I was expecting an actual affair or some other such.

He wanted that but never was successful I found out 7 months into the relationship and after I found out he stopped. Over the couple next months I kept finding out new things that he didn’t really explains when I found out. Like how many girls, how far he went and how many apps.

You know, if you gave him an ultimatum and he chose YOU, is that not a good thing, again? Just saying. You are 18-24, he is too, right? Being young and not so wise is forgiveable I think.

Ok yes we are trying to work on that and get past that. But my questions was does he even care and is it normal for a guy to do those things.

To answer your two questions in order: YES, he does care, since he chose you, and YES, for a guy at 18-24, it IS likely normal. Commitment is harder for men at that age. You want some guy to marry you up? You probably have to go for a man who is a bit older, then.
