Do you think it’s ok for men to hit women back? For the guys who think a man should not hit back, why?

Yes I think it’s ok for them to hit back to a certain extent. Women who hit guys knowing the guy won’t hit them back have serious issues. 9/10 I would intervene if I saw something like this happening.

No man should ever hit a woman for any reason. Be the bigger person and just hold back.

The other thing is that a guy must have done something very wrong to provoke a woman into hitting. Like the guy above, she should hold back anyway. Violence never solved an issue, but usually makes it a whole lit worse.

@RandomGuy1030 In what way? Retaliation leads to resentment. Resentment leads to plotting revenge. Revenge means further violence, but not necessarily strajght away. It may take time, but a determined person could well get revenge in a serious way.

I don't think it is alright for anyone to hit anyone, unless in self defense and not avoidable.

That being said, I do think women get away with a lot of abuse just because they're women and they should be called out for it - just like men who are abusive towards women should be called out. Abusive behavior should never be acceptable.

Women do get away with hitting men in a "playful" manner - without regards to the man and him saying no or asking them to stop; this is something I've witnessed often.

Men are also victims of sexual harrasment - also hidden in a "playful" manner and can be just as uncomfortable for them as it is for us. I'm also sure that more men are silently suffering under domestic violence than we think.
