Is he playing texting games?

So last week we met up and all was good and the other day we was texting each other and his last text was just ‘ haha’ I obviously didn’t know what to reply back to that and I had nothing interesting to say back to that so I thought I’d just leave the conversation there and we just didn’t text each other the next day.
( I didn’t think anything of it I didn’t think it was a bad thing not texting someone for a day as everyone has lives and I didn’t not reply to his ‘haha’ on purpose or anything) so then yesterday he reached out to me and so I responded straight way and now his not bothered even opening my WhatsApp message response, I checked today and still he hasn’t opened my WhatsApp reply from yesterday. What bugs me it says his online on Facebook. Is he now playing some sort of texting game with me or something?

I've texted with this guy who says haha a lot, sometimes only that word. I've developed that habit from him. I don't know what he means when he only replies with that but when I do it's because I don't know how to keep the conversation going and really hope that he'd say something. But hey we're not dating or live close so I tell myself not to overthink about that.
Seems like he's lost interest? Don't bother about him. If he wanted to talk he wouldn't be ignoring your texts or playing a mind game (if that's what he's doing). If you're interested you can just text him again, I understand there requires a little ego issue to double text someone when they don't reply 😬

I don't think it is a texting game. I think he is just not interested at all. I believe there is an option to see or read a message on the main screen that pops up whenever there is notification. It won't show as "read" or two checked marks on whatsapp app but it doesn't mean it was not read.
Just don't expect much from him so you won't get hurt in the end.
