Boyfriend was online playing video games, but hasn’t texted me?

This usually doesn’t happen, I’m sort of worried. He usually always has his phone with him when he plays, he plays fortnite with his friend a lot, doesn’t bother me I’m not clingy or going to spam him because of this. It’s just weird, I was busy all weekend and barely had time to text (no service where I was at) and so Id make sure to text him goodmorning and goodnight about what’s happening that day. He’d text me in between and reply quickly and excitedly with some “I love you”(s). It’s just strange how he wouldn’t text me this time when he’s playing his game, I texted him saying “hey baby I just got home” at 8:30 pm yesterday and he hasn’t replied. I just find it weird how he didn’t reply when he usually always does, even when playing video games he finds time to write me, but this time he hasn’t. What does this mean? Is he losing interest?

lol this is what i dont understand about people: many of them over-analyze situations, thinking that the worst has happened or just not thinking of more common things. such as: ur boyfriend probs hasn't texted back cuz he was taking a nap, or his phone was dead, or he didn't hear the notification go off. its not that he lost interest, and anyways, just because he didn't respond to ONE text does not mean that he would lose interest. i ignore texts all the time, and it doesn't mean that i hate someone, it usually means that im busy.

If he texts you when he doesn't play videos games that just means he isn't thinking about texting right now, since he's more concentrated on playing his game. There is most likely nothing to worry about.

If it has been a while, text again. Two texts several hours apart is not clingy at all in any relationship.

As for not responding while playing video games... Responding to texts is done between activities. He might very well be engaged in an 8 hour pursuit of that one Won game right now.

There is also the possibility he saw your message after which it slipped his mind or he even thinks he already answered.

All in all, don't stress it. Text the guy again. Its all fine. You're overthinking this one :).

It's amazing he messages when playing, most guys wouldn't as they'd be to drawn into the game but chances are he just forgot to reply or his phone died or he's just not been on it for a long time, it sounds like nothing to be worried about.

if it's an isolated incident maybe he just was really into his game. maybe he left his phone somewhere. maybe his battery was dead for a time

If he's playing online, he can't pause the game and maybe he's doing something he needs to concentrate on. Maybe he didn't notice your text, maybe he just doesn't feel like responding.

Or maybe he is losing interest. We can't tell what he feels or thinks, ask him yourself.

He may have misplaced his phone. It could have died and it was charging. He may not have even known he got the message. He may have seen the message and simply forgot to respond because he was doing something else. Etc
