Guy's Behavior

A friend (not anymore) who was apparently hurt by something I said proceeded to delete my number. Did they have a romantic interest?

A friend who I had only known for a short time went crazy me on me the other day. It’s like he didn’t make an effort to meet up with me for a month and then got mad at me because I didn’t open his message “although I was online” when he decided it was a convenient day for him. Then I saw his image disappear (meaning he deleted me) and when I replied he kept complaining that I wasn’t replying and that I used rain as an excuse the last time he asked. His image magically came back during this time. By the end of the day we talked again and the conversation didn't end well as I was also irritable he did this. I went off on him for being unnecessarily rude. Then he deleted me again. Wtf? When I tell this story to my friends they think it’s because he felt rejected romantically. Or is he just a weird person? Also he had given his sunglasses to me which I broke since I see no way that we will talk again. You know since he decided it was cool to delete me.
