My boyfriend is really busy so I only see him once or twice a week. He texts me every single day to check in, and every night to say goodnight, but he doesn’t really ask to meet up with me. It’s always “later, I promise”, etc. He’s really busy with his hobbies & they always come first, so he’s doing them all day and usually just texts me what he’s been doing. But then I ask him to meet up & he doesn’t want to or can’t. He always promises next time etc. He’s okay with seeing other friends during the week, but I don’t think he realizes it’s odd he doesn't see me much? When I finally do suggest getting together, he’s okay with watching Netflix for like an hour, eating dinner, having a little affection, & it’s all he needs. Then he’s happy & can go a while longer not seeing me, like a week. He’s all good.
I’ve brought it up now & he says it’s just generally how he is, & he was surprised I was lonely. Are his needs just super different than mine? Are guys normally like this? How do I handle. I’m getting really anxious. He’s a really calm, serious guy so he likes to only use logic. What should I do and is this normal for a guy? Thanks
