At first, he was texting casual but formal at the same time, but now he seems more formal texting me. Why?

I mean I would try to talk to my crush on something called Gmail, but he didn't reply. So then I started to ask my crush questions everyday, and he started answering them. Soon enough it became common. And were sort of friends now (although I don't talk to him much in person as I do online)... but seriously one week he didn't reply, but when he did he seemed so caring and sincere or something like that (well the vibe / my guts).. I don't know.. it seems formal now (only because before he made mistakes with his spelling sometimes or used abbreviation's). What had changed? Oh yeah.. I forgot... he's not my crush as much anymore I see him as a friend.. like a friend I need to take care of or make sure their fine...

If he’s being formal and not really engaging then maybe it’s a sign that he isn’t interested in creating this friendship/relationship that you are. I don’t even mean that in a rude way. There’s just signs you have to take, like if you’re always the one feeling the need to reach out, start a convo, keep the convo going, etc, and he’s kindly responsive but not trying, and now not even talking at all. Don’t be too proud to take the hints.

I don’t even know if I’d say this guy is a friend, and I promise I am not trying to hurt your feelings by saying that. A friend is someone you can count on, trust, and confide in. It’s a bond of mutual affection that you create with someone, and having that effort reciprocated. Reading this, it seemed like a lot of you, and having a crush. You contacting everyday, thinking of topics. You maintaining the communication and only input or opinions from him. Now he replies once a week, and formally. There’s a lot to be said in his actions that you have to acknowledge, even if it hurts your feelings. You strike me as a very sweet, probably quiet and shy girl. He’s not going to be mean or rude to you, especially for no reason. But where he stands is showing through his actions alone. I’d advise letting him come to you and show you differently, because just as his presence in your life is important to you, it should be to him as well.
