Why does he do nothing but joke around?

I met this guy online at a muslim matrimonial sight. He lives a mile from me. Started joking around, had some light hearted texted. When i finally asked him his intentions, he said since it was Ramadan routine was super tough and he wanted to wait. I understood and said okay.
Fast forward one week, i realized i knew very little about him and sent him a voice note asking about how long ago he had gotten divorced, about his family and job (mind you normal stuff for our culture and nothing too personal). He joked around and did not even acknowledge my queries let alone answer them.
Its been 2 days and he is still attempting to joke around. He doesn't talk about specifics like hobbies or work. There are another 2 weeks left in Ramadan. I had initially considered riding it out but now am not too sure.
Should i straight out ask him why he avoids specifics or simply wait another 2 weeks as initially planned?

If he doesn't make effort to get to know you personally and answer your questions about his personality... he isn't interested, he just wants the fun.
Especially when he said oh we have to wait until Ramadan is over... yeah for what? 🚩🚩🚩

I have just directly and politely asked him for his point of view on why he wishes to be so secretive about things that i normally would not consider private. Lets see how he responds.

He responded back that he did not intentionally do it. Just that he earlier mentioned he has been super busy during ramzan n till i reminded him it had completely slipped his mind.

Ironically he still hasn't answered the queries. I will take a back seat responding in brief texts n just wait till ramzan is over to c what he does.

He sent an inappropriate text last night. When i told him not to again, he started arguing and things just ended. Its almost like he did it on purpose because since the day we have been communicating he has been nothing but respectful.

Yeah i hope so too. I have noticed that most guys online are jerks but haven't given up hope. Just finished talking to another guy i connected with. This one is a Leo.
