If you exclude an entire race from your dating pool, it’s based off of stereotypes. Plain and simple, you’re judging an entire group of people based off of your own internalized racism. Same goes for if you have a preference for a certain race -> it’s rooted in fetishization, which is objectifying since it also reduces people of certain backgrounds to stereotypes
I don't know girl but I have so much more respect for black girls than for black guys, as a general rule of course. They're a lot more hard working and ambitious in my opinion, have their shit together and are just more productive members of the society. And I really disrespect how common fatherless homes are in black communities... I was appalled when I heard the men blaming black women for it because I've known situations when they did the exact same things to the white girls they were with. My opinion is not a result of prejudice but my own observations. Men have the power in a society, they dictate how it's ruled so when I see black men shitting on black women and praising white women or white men shitting on white women and praising Asian women... it's just disgusting to me, how can any woman respect such a man? I can't. And again, yes of course I know I'm generalizing about black men, some are definitely amazing and great partners and fathers etc... but from my own personal observation of how they impregnate both young black and white girls and then leave them I just think the odds are stacked against you black girls and honestly, racial price and all that bs aside I would seriously consider other men or at least warn your daughters to keep it in their pants until they're married or something but even that... ok, some men of any race are just dogs. But the few situations I've witnessed with the shit that black men did to women, their lying, deceiving... I knew a white girl who dated one and his ex messaged her and told her he already had 2 kids with two different women and she could prove it. Something he completely hid that that acquaintance of mine. I just think there's something really wrong with it and for how amazing black girls often are and how badly black men tend to fail at being men (ambitious, providers etc) I think you really deserve better. This might be insulting to you that a white girl tells you think about your race but you asked this question so you opened this can of warms and I'm going to be honest with you like I always try to be.
As for the supposed attitude that black women have... I'd have attitude too if I had to deal with shitty men like that chose to have multiple children with all different women and don't tell me it's not very common in the black community. Like wtf what are these women supposed to do, they're literary at the mercy of such shitty men who lack ambition besides fucking more and more girls and ruining their lives. At some point you have to try to stand up for yourself and not just be a beating bag which I feel is what some of those black men appreciate about white girls.

I for example I am not black but I have dots on my body. I love myself however I HATE my dots. I would NEVER date anyone with dots like me because I feel sad about them and insecure, why would I purposely cause the future of a possible kid (my kid) growing up with what I had to grow up with knowing how I felt? Sure the baby could still possibly carry this trait I don't know for sure, nobody does, but finding someone without dots could mean less or no dots for the offspring.

Most time I also do not like my hair because it takes a lot of time and effort for it to look 'tamed'. Once it's tamed I get admiration from people saying they love my hair, and it makes me feel sweet inside like lovely. YET I much rather prefer to have straight silky hair if I had the choice because I wouldn't have to spend so much time for it to look good. Almost all my family has curly hair, except my brother and sister, aside from them, parents and other brother and cousins and aunts, all have curly, that doesn't mean I want my kids to have curly hair. I prefer if they have straight hair,.. OH NO! it must also mean I am self hating and hate all around me because I don't want it. RIDICULOUS! I love my hair I just don't love it all the time and I don't wish for my kids to have it. .
you need to FACE REALITY: You just feel offended because someone said they don't want something that YOU have. so therefore you feel insulted simply because someone doesn't like what you want them to like. It's understandable, I would feel sad too if someone said they didn't want someone with dots for the same reasons I stated, or curly hair, but yet I understand it 100% , someone else will want me. I don't have to hate someone for not liking me for whatever reasons they may have, I should not insult them telling them they have self hate or something like this simply because I felt insulted.
Learn the difference between actually being insulted and just you feeling insulted just because someone doesn't like what you want them to like.
I am black who prefers whites only, but never remember bringing in black girls to justify my right to like whites over them. I just find blondies the prettiest and thats all there is to it.
The movie Ready player one, hit me hard when one of the avatar girls refused to believe the boy's I love you statement. She said that here you see only what I want you to see, you hear only what I want you to hear and know only what I want you to know about me. That is what you are in love with, not with the real me.
In my case that is true. I am more in love with the looks of a girl than everything else combined. I never, and nobody ever chooses who or what turns them on or off. This is as painful to write as it is to read.
Pretty much every black guy I've ever known who preferred to date non-black girls did so almost entirely because of "their attitude," and the rest could loosely be interpreted as a preference for "exotic" (from their perspective).
Interestingly, I could say the same about black women I know who try to date outside their race, and just about anyone else from anywhere else who does the same. It's almost like bad experiences growing up create patterns of aversion...
Great question! I'm a black woman and I have no issue with black men dating/marrying white women as long as it's not out of racism. I guess they always mention black girls because they hate being black, therefore they feel the need of attacking someone who is also black. They're projecting their self-hatred to someone else just to pretend that they don't hate themselves. They're sad and ridiculous!
Got a question for you: what if someone is attracted to a difference race but they don't know why, they simply are. Would say that's self-hatred too?

I’d say it depends. But racial preferences in general in my opinion are always a result of internalized racism because there’s nothing about a specific race of people that should make you more attracted only based on their race.
Race was a made up concept created by racists to justify so many horrible things and as a result race as a social construct is based around racism. Like for example, a lot of men in this thread are claiming that their preference for Asian women isn’t racist but notice how their explanation for why they like Asian women is because they think Asian women are small, submissive, etc. these are all racist stereotypes that have harmed Asian women in the past and still do in the present. So many men participate in sex tourism abroad in Asian countries where they are abusing Asian women. Or worst they’ll participate in mail in brides where a woman who would otherwise not marry them marries them because of their financial situation.

Ya know. That’s a great question.. I understand people have “preferences” but to sit there and talk down on black woman as a reason they date WW is just messed up and honestly those men probably don’t even like us WW like that either. Or even woman at all.
The sooner you stop trying to figure that out, the better off you'll be. Black men that exclusively date white women will always down black women to uplift their "preference". I don't even pay those types any mind. And you shouldn't either.

Your viewpoint on this is way too narrow. People are under no obligation to date within their race and given the complexity of attractiveness and partnering off with another person, no one person, there is going to be a huge variety of motivations. To give you one anecdotal example, when I was a teenager, a black male I knew told me he "dated white women because my pockets are full with them and empty when I am with a black girl".

You clearly didn’t read what I was saying.. I never said you’re obligated to date anyone. I’m saying if you exclude an entire race from your dating pool it’s because of prejudice. You'd have much better discussions on here if you would actually listen to what others are saying instead of reflexively telling someone that yours is the only explanation for something (this isn't the first time you've done exactly that, by the way) and having to be "right" all the time. People's motivations vary is my point and, furthermore, there can be multiple motivations to do something
As for what was told to me, it was based on his experience (he was 20 at the time and had had girlfriends since he was 13), and ironically the context was me having a black girlfriend at the time. I didn't (and don't now) see it as a matter of negative stereotyping.

You don't have to outright say yours is the entire (and therefore the only) explanation, your comments clearly indicate that you do, especially since you think someone is "trying to prove you wrong", an obvious projection on your part, and that you go out of your way to claim "no one cares what you think". The reason black women are not considered attractive is because they have high amounts of testosterone, which makes them look masculine. While black men, this favors them, because it makes them look masculine.
Still, black men are the race that most prefers women of their own race.

I’m confused. You’re not getting what I’m saying, there’s nothing wrong with interracial marriage or dating. My issue is with racial preferences since racial preferences are based on stereotypes of people and in the case of black men putting black women down when they date white women that comes from a place of self hate
I think the exact same way for dark skin black men that hate dark skin black women and only date light skins, only difference is that specifically is rooted in colorism where as the latter is internalized self hate

It is possible for some people to not feel a strong physical attraction to their own race, and have a stronger attraction towards other races. They shouldn't put down their race though, that's what probably irritates people.
If you have vanilla and chocolate icecream and people ask you specifically why you are eating vanilla, expecting you to be eating chocolate, of course you're gonna compare them. I'm white though, so fuck if I know.
While I don't support the racialized generalization in those quotes (as what they mean to regard is certainly cultures, not a race/sex), they don't indicate they're self-hating at all.
Quite frankly, suggesting that a black man saying they don't like the quality of being ratchet, ghetto, or having attitude implies that is it "black" to be ratchet, ghetto, and have an attitude. Which, ironically, is racist to suggest. Certainly cultures may incline that behavior, but it is not "black" to be ghetto, ratchet, etc. There are plenty of black people who aren't.

Might depend on how you ask them? Unless the asker is the one who brings up black girls, like "Why do you date white girls instead of black girls" I have honestly no idea why they would bring up black girls. Saying they find white girls most attractive would suffice.
You might not by into it, but racial preferences are a thing. Personaly I find Asians (Japanese in particular) most attractive.

If your answer is along the eyes of -> they are cute, they are small, more submissive. You’re contributing to harmful objectifying stereotypes that lead to several Asian women being murdered and killed like what happened in my area with the Asian spa shooting !
I can read, I just disagree that its objectifying or racist to have preferences. And when I have preferences myself, I'm not going to have a issue with other people having preferences. Also, in addition to Japanese girls being most attrative, my genes should in theory match well with Japanese gense, so its a win win situation on all fronts.
