Why do guys pull away?

I started seeing this guy and after our first date he doesn’t text me as much anymore. He will still text me everyday but it’ll just be one text or sometimes we’ll have a small conversation or sometimes he will call me to talk. But our conversation doesn’t feel like before our first date. Before he would be really into the conversation and ask me a bunch of questions and try to picture how our future would be like and now he just seems distant.

Doesn't sound like he is pulling away at all, but it sounds like you have some unrealistic expectations.

I enjoy our phone conversations but it just doesn’t feel the same as before. If he texted me he’ll take hours before replying or he won’t reply at all. Then the next day he’ll just text me something simple like “hey beautiful” and that’s all I’ll get from him that day. I just want us to have genuine conversations. Any guys can text me these simple phrases daily.

Yes we had a second date

He would prefer to talk when he sees you vs electronically

I really hope you’re right. I can’t do this again, become emotionally invested in someone and just to have them ghost me eventually

Yes with other guys. Sometimes I feel like I’m being stringed along. Like he’ll keep me entertained enough for now until he finds someone better.
