Is this man scared to show his feelings?

This man who I used to be involved with years ago has continually contacted me and he is now in a relationship with someone else. I told him, I'm sorry it didn't work out for us. I would date you again with trying again if you were single. I told him I loved him but, I cannot accept less and won't be dealing with him if he has someone else. I made it clear cut. So, a few days later he contacts me again and tells me randomly " I've loved a lot of women " there's not just one" . Why did he tell me this. Is he trying to tell me he loves me and is confused? Is he in denial of loving me? Because, I'm not the one contacting him and did not ask for this information. I mean, after I tell him I love him then he contacts me and says this. He's already got someone and I told him what my terms are.

I think the fact he is in another relationship but constantly messaging you shows he isn't trustworthy. If you got back into a relationship what would stop him from messaging other women. His statement also seems quite strange, I'd steer clear and find someone honest and someone who clearly wants you.

I truly believe he has regrets. But, I do agree with you on that he isn't trustworthy at this point. But, I also believe that when I told him I loved him, he was confused. Thank you for your comment 😊😊

How can you know that not knowing anything at all about the relationship; you don't.

Because it's obvious by what YOU said. I don't know anything about the relationship except for what you told me.

And, it's hard for him to state " feelings" he's always been subtle when he is trying to say something. He tries not to make a deal out of feelings and at the same time his behaviors and the way he talks are different and his feelings come out with arguments, etc

Yeah, sure thing. Keep making excuses for him. He sounds like a great guy, contacting you while he is in a relationship. (Not to mention YOU are in a relationship). Enjoy all that.
