What does it mean when a guy hold your wrist?

So this boy is in my class and we've been together for 7/8 months in class. We talked a few times and he is nice but we are not friends, i guess we are just classmates. So last Friday, I was going to enter my class when he suddenly grabbed my wrist (it was not agressive and it didn't hurt). I thought he was grabbing my wrist because there were other students inside and they were having a test, but it actually wasn't. He grabbed my wrist for 5/7 seconds and when i was going to ask him why did he do that, he left. I've been very confused since then so I'm looking for an explanation lol

Most simple explanation is he wants you, had some script or line in his head to say, then blanked out in the moment. After staring at you and holding onto you he ran away when it entered uncomfortable silence territory. Makes sense if he's your age, most guys don't have a huge number of opportunities with women.

If he seems like someone you could go for, just try talking about something completely unrelated. If he runs away again, uhh, that would be a headache, more likely he'll talk all ramble and rapid fire like because of nerves.
