Why would my crush ask me for advice about his crush? ?

Okay, so we have been talking at school and we are friends, currently. The other day we were chatting and he randomly brings up the topic of something like he was wondering how to talk/make a move on his crush. I was utterly confused as to why he would be asking me... of all people. Maybe there's a chance he likes me. I mean he does make an effort to talk to me to and pays attention to small details. Perhaps or I could just be friend zoned. Would u guys ask ur crush for advice on how to talk to their crush?

You have such an advantage to figure out if it was you, you could've asked how she was like and based on how he describes her you would be able to help him and know if it's you at the same time, give him the real advice in case it's not you but who knows he might even use your own advice on you and you'd know for a fact, and if it is you, your advice would be the most useful to him cause it's like asking a clone of his crush for advice on asking out his crush lol

Why wouldn't he ask you? He has no idea you like him.

I wouldn't, but that doesn't mean he wouldn't. I've heard that strategy be used before. But it's also possible his crush is someone else, and he did think he was just asking a friend for advice and nothing more than that. I suppose time will tell, if he asks out you or someone else.
