Why do guys ask what time you would like to go out just for them to come hours late?

I'm not sad it's just extremely annoying I feel like everytime almost all guys do this where they ask what time to pick you up. Let's say I said 7pm then they say ill get you at 8pm then they end up coming at 11pm like wow thats why I prefer to stay home and focus on myself

I hope he had a really good reason for being that late.

When I told a woman I was going to pick her up at a certain time I was either on time or a couple minutes early. I wasn't even a minute late

Thats how it should be. I'm like that too if I say a certain time im early. His excuse was "time flew" didn't make sense because he already had said at 8pm that he was driving to me. Then at 9pm he said again im going to pick you up. Until 11:15. Its also annoying because it gets really late and I want to sleep and he keeps talking like omg

Maybe he was 4 hours away and he thought he could make it to you in an hour. Lol.

It's really disrespectful. I had an ex once making me wait for one hour. He had this very bad habit of making me wait until one day I was so fed up and left.

Same! I had an ex where he would tell me 5pm and that he will be at my place in 20 min. It would delay 4 hours or no show. I would get so angry as I did my make up. He would try saying I'm exaggerating like no way! I could never do that if anything if I say a certain time im early
