He sends me a comedy video of a thug taking out a girl on a date.
Him: That’s the dude that’s going to take you out to the movies.

At no point whatsoever did I tell him if I’d watch a movie with a guy or a girl.

He's being needy/jealous/hostile. Just stop talking to him. I'm not exactly sure if you should say you went with girl friends or family or not. But he's definitely not a good match. He might even be a good guy deep down, but he's acting stupid. I've done it before, I won't lie, but I'm trying to not be insecure and desperate with girls I text anymore. If she's not my girlfriend, it isn't my damn business what she does.

Unless I'm misreading, he doesn't seem at all just trying to take an interest in what you are doing for the sake of conversation because it doesn't seem he told you what he was doing, nor did he ask what your favorite movies are or anything normal
