He rejected me and now is acting all strange, why is he acting nervous but be near me?

We started conversing a bit just small chat and via text. I noticed he also checked me out lots and glanced at me. We hung out for a while but I asked him out. He looked surprised said that he never saw me that way and was sorry. I was really sad and cried for a couple nights and unfollowed him on social media. Now we rarely converse and he acts really strange when we're in the same class, he'd act all nervous and not talk to me and also come close to me and sit near me. I'd ignore him. Yesterday, I was walking home and he saw me from a distance and started to speak to a girl, I did feel frustrated but walked past without looking, the girl and him both looked at me when walking past it was strange. I think he was trying to make me jealous. He also did this another time with a different girl. Why can't he just stay away and not be close to me and if he doesn't like me why would he have to be near me at all? To be honest I just want to be left alone and not see his face.

Some people like to play around with other's emotion and heart. We can't do anything about someone like that. He may be one of these. Hopefully, you can let it go and maybe it is a blessing in disguise? I hope things go the way you wish :)
