Boyfriend can't stop looking at his phone?

My boyfriend never brings his phone anymore when we are together. I never see him with his phone anymore. We were sitting in my car and he left his phone in his car. The whole time he was staring at the window inside his car. He told me he needed to get his phone because he said last time he got a message on his iphone saying his phone was too hot. I told him to go get it multiple times but he changed his mind and kept saying no. The last time we were sitting in my car, it was midnight, he was looking for something in his car but it was very dark and got very frustrated and said he needed his phone. No matter how much he complains about his phone, he never brings it near me anymore. Should i be worried?

yes he complains that he needs his phone all the time but won't bring it when there is nothing holding him back from bringing it.
