I feel like my boyfriend isn't interested in my life at all and only about himself. How can I keep a balance with him and know that he cares?

My boyfriend claims to be highly introverted, so he only likes to see me about once or twice a week. If I ask him more than that, he usually always declines and prefers to stay inside. He is always staying busy & likes to stay inside and do projects and keep to himself all the time. He is super excited about his projects, and texts me every day about them and then asks about my day, but when it comes to doing things with me or being interested in my life, it seems like he just doesn't really care.

For example, I'll go on a cool camping trip that weekend and show him pictures, and he just goes "ah, very cool", then moves on. Doesn't offer to go with me on one, or inquire further etc.

We do see each other like once a week, where we grab dinner or I come to his house and watch TV, but it's usually for just an hour or so. He says he feels like this has been fine and that he does plenty.

Is this just a big different between us? I've never dated an introvert so it's hard. I feel like he's just not interested in anything outside of his own world. Like I offer things or activities but he always says "cool" then never comes, wants to be by himself. Should I offer more activities to do with him? I'm a more extroverted girl with a lot going on.

Is this normal for guys? What do I do?
