Why would my ex boyfriend from 10 years ago follow me on Instagram?

I haven’t seen or spoke to him in 10 years. He left me for my ‘best friend’ at the time. We were 19 at the time.

He’s now with someone else, engaged and has a few kids.

I saw him at a mutual friends wedding and we just looked at each other and neither of us said hi or anything. I just ignored him.

Then the next day I had a friend request from him and he had followed me on Instagram.

maybe he wondered what became of you? think its natural to wonder what happened to people from our past
