I’m 27 and a 22 year old guy followed me on ig and reached out to me the day of. I’m recently out of a long term relationship and lol dating… yikes. I am or I was…? interested in wherever it was going and when he messaged me he was super flirty. We talked for a couple days straight and he asked me to come see him (he lives 3 hours away) for a drink. It was super last minute and we agreed a better planned weekend would be better. We’ve been talking for almost 2 weeks every day when we can. Except the last few days he’s just gone dry, he would still message me first sometimes, and he likes it when I flirt but isn’t flirting back, todays the first day he didn’t message me in the morning. I was enjoying talking to this guy but it’s whatever at the end of the day as it’s only been 2 weeks. Just not sure how to read the situation and looking for some input?

Feels red flaggy to me. For one, I’m not big on men randomly sliding in the DMs because if they did it to me I’d bet they did it with others. Two, he’s 22 lol so it makes me feel even more certain about the DMs thing. Three, he invited you for drinks but wants you to make the 3 hour drive? Dude didn’t even offer to meet you halfway, which isn’t gentlemanly at all. Now he’s drifting off and only really engaging when you flirt, which to me seems in-genuine and that his intentions are to hook up. All in all I think you’re better off steering clear of that guy.
