Why is my ex sporting my favorite color?

My ex's favorite color is red. Or at least, it was. We don't talk anymore but we have enough mutual friends that we sometimes cross paths. Prior to him ghosting me, he always wore red, his profile pictures on social media were red, etc, but after we broke up he switched to green. Green is my favorite color, and he knew this well, he always incorporated green into anything he gifted me. He paid attention to details. It gets weirder. It's not just my favorite color. His whole style completely changed. His social media and his outfits did a full 180 after we broke up to match my aesthetic. All browns and greens and misty forest vibes. He even dyed his hair from black and red to brown. I keep noticing it whenever I walk past him or when one of my friends is opening his snaps and I'm next to them. I don't know if I'm overreacting but it seems pretty weird to me. What the heck is going on?

Update: I met the guy he dated before me. And he dresses just how our ex used to dress when I was dating him. Apparently the dude just copies his ex's after they break up. It's pretty creepy but at least I know what's going on.

Maybe he wants you to try and take initiative to repair the relationship instead of himself acknowledging that he ghosted you. He regrets ghosting you.

@spartan55 I KNOW it's a reach and I've been trying to ignore it, but the dude's entire wardrobe changed. He started tbis behavior in September and I've been trying to ignore it but it's getting weird.

I'm pretty sure that's not the answer, thank you, though. I'm going to just keep changing my path every couple of days to avoid running into him.

@spartan55 Well... He is gay... We're both LGBT. I'm nonbinary (biologically female, which is why I selected female for this website) and he prefers nonbinary people and dudes over women. I agree with the crazy part, though. That's why I'm concerned.

@spartan55 I really hope it's nothing to do with me. Maybe he just decided he no longer wanted to be the emo kid and went with dressing in a style that's coincidentally similar to mine. I'm hoping that's what it is and that I'm just being paranoid.

We go to the same school and we have the same friends. If it's any consolation, I take the long way to classes to avoid him.
