I’ve been with my boyfriend for a few months now. What is really awkward for me is that when I’m having dinner with him with my parents, he will talk down to me, put me down in front of them, and talk to me as if I’m lesser. It’s really awkward for me and embarrassing because my parents notice it too and I can’t say anything at the time. I feel like when this happens all I want to do is to burst into tears but I can’t because I feel pressure to pretend everything is ok.
Another thing is that he will keep mentioning to me girls that are “after him” and girls who want to sleep with him. He keeps telling me about girls who text him and add him on Snapchat that reply to his stories. When we go out places he will say “there’s a lot of eye candy here but I only have eyes for you”. It just feels like he doesn’t respect me at all and it makes me feel insecure about myself.
What should I do?
