It feels like men just stare at women and expect the women to come to them. So many young people are single because NO ONE MAKES A MOVE! And men can't expect women to come to them, it's not in a womans nature to chase.
Why are modern men like this? I see so many men stare at women and clearly being attracted to them, but just stare and not do anything. How will you ever find a wife if you can never get past the staring stage?
Ever hear of Emmett Till? He was a 14-year-old Chicago boy who was visiting some relatives in Mississippi when, left alone for a moment with the keeper of a small grocery store, he did... something. She claimed that he "muttered obscenities" and put his hand around her waist. That night, an angry mob stormed the hotel where Till was staying, dragged him out of his bed, tortured and murdered him. In 2008, the woman (Carolyn Brant) admitted she'd lied about the whole thing.
The social narrative is that it was racially motivated, since Till was black and Brant wasn't- but the core message ISN'T "racism is awful" but "due process is the cornerstone of a civil society". Of course, that was almost seventy years ago; we, as a society, took great comfort in the fact that we didn't HAVE lynch mobs any more.
Then came the MeToo movement. And it was... almost EXACTLY the same thing. An accusation of sexual impropriety, an outraged mob, and vicious punishment, with absolutely NO demand of evidence of any kind. Accusation equals guilt. And while they don't murder anyone DIRECTLY, mass harassment campaigns of anyone employing or associating with them are intended to do precisely the same thing. On a purely abstract level, it's kind of impressive that these people manage to make even lynch mobs seem morally superior- THEY at least had the guts to do their own killing- it's a horrifying indictment of any society that finds this the LEAST bit tolerable.
If asking a woman out meant risking losing your job and facing lifelong social ostracism, how eager would YOU be to do it? Thankfully, that's not the case, but a great many people want men to THINK that it is- and you see for yourself the net result. Modern men simply aren't stupid enough to ignore self-preservation any more. What happens now is social selection; the third force of Darwinian evolution. Saying "it's not in a woman's nature to chase" is kinda like saying "it's not in an ape's nature to be bipedal". For eons, it wasn't- then we came along, and now we outnumber every other kind of ape combined. You adapt or you die out. The choice is yours.
Honestly, you're under 18, so it's all childish shit at that age. Some day they will grow up and find their balls and ask a girl out.
But here I am at 46 years old after divorce and few failed relationships... so I will say this woman in general are so oblivious to how difficult they make it on men to get a date to begin with, but then to survive through a relationship it's ridiculous to me. And women with say the same things about men, so if you're interested then go ask the mother fucker out yourself and quit complaining about it on here.
After you do that a few times, you might start to understand how difficult it is for men to suffer through rejection after rejection and then have a women tell you that you don't deal with rejection well... mother fucker who the hell do you think are you to say that to me? I been rejected 100 times, by much better women then you, what I am saying to this time is that you're being a bitch.
Not you personally I am just saying women in general I am sure you are a very sweet girl.
I think it strongly depends on what sort of people live in your area. It seems logical that that would be the case in more modern areas, but being approached by a man is still very common in conservative areas.
Oh they still do, but think about it, when complete strangers ask you to go out with them you are probably aren’t going to agree to it, the best they get in return is a smile and ‘thank you but...’

It's because the other women in society at large have done an excellent job of making sure men feel like complete assholes for trying to express interest in women. Heck, there are plenty of women who make a point of making even the most basic interactions contentious and unpleasant, like trying to get passed her in the grocery store to pick out a frozen pizza can turn into an adversarial exchange.
So, for a lot of guys, the juice isn't worth the squeeze. Why would I bother making an effort to interact with women when there is such a high likelihood that the interaction will turn into a headache.
Cuz social media destroyed relationships bottom line , Most people Today are glued to their phones filling their heads with useless knowledge that all girls are whores and all guys are players , When a guy notices a beautiful girl he automatically assumes she has a list of men to choose from so he does t make a move because he doesn’t want to stand in line waiting for his turn , For a guy to be in a relationship he has to feel that she only has eyes for him and respects him and stays loyal to him , so he won’t waste his time with a girl that has a line of guys waiting for a turn , Nowadays it’s probably better for a girl to ask a guy out that she is interested in mainly for that reason
Men still do. But the rules have changed a little.
First of and most importantly the consequences have spiked.
Second, people are socially aware enough to want a hint. If you learn to signal that you're open to being approached, men that are interested often still will.
And beyond that, 2022. You can approach.
Well, that is because it does not cost anything to look at a gorgeous or a beautiful woman from a distance but it is a risk to try and ask a woman out.
That being said, I am sure there are men who ask women out hence it would be unfair to say all men only stare at women.
If a woman won’t ask a guy out. She’s just as guilty for being single. Sometimes it’s not a good sign when someone stares at you. As well as fear of rejection
There are SOME girls who are nasty about rejecting a guy and some will even humiliate him. Definitely not all girls.
If you like someone then ask him. I don’t ask a lot of people out. Because relationships take time for me. I don’t approach random women and if a woman I don’t know approaches me. I’m nice as long as she is. Unless I’m insanely attracted. I almost always turn them down. Even if they’re attractive
I don’t do online either. Trust issues. But if I know someone and I trust her. Yeah it’s a matter of time. I will make a move or she will.

Me too culture, feminism, and other bs has removed any reason for decent men to take the risk of initiating. Now women have to do it, or be stuck with cheating deadbeat jerks who don't care if they look like creeps to onlookers or a court room.
What makes you think finding a wife is a goal anymore? The majority of women aren't wife material, and marriage these days is a big risk with almost no reward (for men). Marriage hasn't even been a real commitment since the quicky, no-fault divorce came about.
Unrealistic standards from both sides, most just want hookups, old tactics for dating are sexual harrassment, rude, objectifying.. etc. guys are tired of playing mind & guessing games, many women are quick to ghost a guy even if he's not rude or agressive, many men don't know what to say to start a conversation, it only takes 1 to a few words to make a woman uninterested, and many of us can't tell of she is interested or just being nice... basically dating society has made it near impossible to date without the woman showing she is interested. And the old method of "just getting to know eachother and putting forth effort" is near extinct.
Fear of rejection or being labeled a creep if they say anything to the girl. Also being online has made people not need communication skills for in person interactions.

I think there's only so much rejection a man can take before gives up on women entirely.
I have an Instagram account. If I scroll through ‘reels’, a good 70% of women have onlyfans accounts. For $5-$20 a month you can see her naked and engaging in sex. A guy can do this and jerk off for less than a dinner and couple of drinks.
here's something that might help us guys out, dont congregate with a group of friends, it makes it that much harder for us to approach you. Go to the bar and order a drink by yourself and make eye contact with us.
To be fair, these days there are women who throw themselves at men, doing all the "chase" which is actually what men like the most. Regardless of gender, if something is too easy we tend to take for granted.

Because of the fear of rejection. That the "no" based on the assumption that he's asking them out just for sex gets old and hurts.
