Is there a chance he will text me again?

So me and this guy were texing for 2 months. We live in 2 different countries but he lives im my hometown. He liked me very much and we were talking every day, he saved my pictures on snapchat and was leading most of our conversations. Then we stopped contact 4 days ago bc he told me he is still thinking about his ex and that i have everything he likes and wants but suddenly he doesn't have this feeling towards me to be in a relationship with me or as if he honestly loves someone. We still have each other on social media and send snaps but nothing else. Do you think there is a chance for him to reach out? Im very confused and dont get it at all..
