Guys: Why would a guy look at me with hate?

I met a guy a few months ago at the gym, at first I would say hello or wave to him because we always arrived at the same time. But then I noticed that he started acting mean like he would avoid me or look somewhere else to ignore me. I would hold back from waving or saying hello whenever he would look at me as if he hates me. He does that all the time now but it intrigues me that he looks at me that way but then I catch him looking at me all the time and then turns away quickly. That’s hella concussing to me, so can someone explain why would guys act this way?

He's probably just going through some problems. It does not have anything to do with you. He's having a rough in his life, just like everyone else, and it is hard for him to put on a smile.

It's hard times right now. His anger probably does not have anything to do with you. It might be the gas prices and other bs that are bothering him

He could be trying to get you to miss him and reach out based on what you've said about him. I'm not quite sure though.
