Seems to be a trait of many men, although I had the same arrangement when I was in my 20's. She would fuck other guys, and when they brushed her off, or disappeared for a while, she would call me.
Same deal. Different time. Different people. later, she wanted to 'settle' for me, and I told her I did not want to marry her, because I was always 'second fiddle" and would have always had that feeling in my head.

Its an easily spotted personality type, "dimwitted", "alpha male", "confident" types, your "jock" or "drunkard" or "conman" stereotypes. You can spot them instantly by how they talk.
