Why does a much older male coworker flirt?

He seems about 53-62 years old if I had to guess. He is becoming more and more flirty. At first I took it in stride like he was totally joking. I remember when he joked about being jealous of the thought of other guys texting me.
The weird part is this man doesn’t even know my name. But I know his. Yet he’s started touching me whenever he can. My arm. My shoulder. What is up with him?

The why is, in my mind, one of two things. Either he's of an age to flirt or he's genuinely interested in you romantically and that's all he knows how to do to express it.

FAR more concerning, however, is the touching. That's 1000000% not appropriate at any time in any workplace. You need to have a very clear talk with him that he needs to stop touching you. Unless you have an interest in maybe dating him, in which case he still needs to stop touching you at work because that's still majorly inappropriate.
