Why is my guy friend behaving so weird? Or am I overthinking all the incidences?

So this guy is my friend whom I had crush when i was 16 but then we lost touch... now I'm 22 Unexpectedly one day he came to me and started talking first i was taken aback but i felt like we just talked yesterday it never felt like years of no communication... We talked and both had a great time... Then i kept seeing him he even smiled i was happy that things are not awkward anymore... But these days he is being too weird he talks but acts so nervous around me but i normal infront of other girls, he keeps staring at me and sometimes even twins his clothes with me i thought this is coincidence but one day i saw him wearing black and then in the evening it was red which i had worn since morning. Then he even holds the lift which he never did in years, he is always around smiling and staring, when i pass by his friends keep calling his name, one day i was alone with him in the lift but he just kept smiling as i said thank you, i wasn't able to press the fan button so he did it. Then he even helped my best friend (the one i thought he likes) like he never texted her but he did right before my birthday he gave her ideas and even planning to come for meet , even wished me but couldn't show up. I thought he's tryna be frnds so casually texted him that i met my friend but he was like ohh good And i ended up saying him that he is weird. He is a little introvert but still he expressed his disappointment but still keeps seeing me, helping me, tries to come close but never really talks. Should I talk to him or just let him be and can someone please tell me what these behaviour mean

It depends on what he was doing back when you were 16. Was he confident enough to ask other girls out, or has he been hiding his feelings all this time for you as well (reciprocating your crush), whereby now he finally has the courage to act on it a bit more than before?

To be honest I never confessed him , i kinda didn't want to loose a friend, our mutual friends used to keep teasing but he never stopped them... plus he is single but i don't know if he dated anyone or not... maybe he too had smthin but i was too young to understand all that.

The thing is he still thinks you love me. Tell him that's not how love works. That's it. I used to do it it. I've done it on two girls who used to hit me in my teens.

How am I supposed to know that? I don't know anything about you or him. I don't even know if he was aware of your crush or you used to show any signs. Get time to know him. Ask him what he wants. Tell him what you think about a relationship. Tell him what love means to you. Try to know about his values , Virtues , intrest and character. Understand what love and relationship means to him. Take time. Love doesn't happen in one day. You should first understand what you want then try to know what he needs then try to build a relationship. You are the best judge for yourself because you will have to face the consequences.

I think you would like him as a friend, and he would like you as a lover. It's not going to be comfortable clarifying it but it will be less comfortable if true down the road.
