Recently got invited by my new friend group, which consists of mainly boys. I’ve gotten close pretty quick with them, two of them in particular and I feel some kind of tension between us.
With Guy 1, we text pretty regularly, at least every week. We are the closest out of all of them and he’s pretty touchy. I thought he might like me however it’s not clear. Its borderline friendly flirting in some way and I always find him looking at me and then look away. He has met a girl pretty recently, but nothing has changed - he’s still texting me first thing in the morning, text all day (and it lasts for like two days), etc.
With Guy 2, we’re close but we mostly joke together. We don’t really text or chat. However, he has been pretty suggestive these past few weeks. He keeps looking at me and sort of invited me to have sex with him.
And I’m left wondering, can guys really only be platonically friends with a girl?

What do you mean 'he sorta invited me to have sex with him?'
he literally implied it. he said come to my house tonight and let’s make shit happens
So I don't understand your question?
Maybe, but this is a question of character. If both sides are not perverted, friendship can be established. there are girls who have been my friends for 12 years.
and they’re friends that you have never felt anything towards? only saw them as friends and that’s it?
Yes, I didn't feel anything against them. That would be treason.
It's less about character, and more about compatibility.
An ideal girlfriend is very lewd, and perverted jokes among friends are funny, but women have this idea in their heads that every guy is going to fall for them. Which sorry to burst anyone's bubble, but thats not the case.
She has to check all the boxes, or its going to be platonic. It's very rare that a girl meets even a third of whats on my checklist. Being pretty is not enough for any guy who isn't lowbrow enough to want casual sex, or boring enough to have a short checklist for a suitable girlfriend.
@TheSpaceGnome You're right sir.
